Welcome to our city.

Each day in Austin, thousands of families wake up to face another day of homelessness. Among them, more than 4,000 children get dressed, pick up a backpack or a sack of books and walk into an Austin school.

CapCityKids (The Capital City Fund for Education), a non-profit charity, was created to provide the resources to support students who are in disadvantaged situations. By creating and funding educational programs and resources, CapCityKids provides opportunities for these students to realize their potential and achieve success in school and in life.

CapCityKids (CCK) ensures that 100% of your donations go directly to providing assistance for the students. CapCityKids has no salaried staff or administrative overhead because we work in concert with the Austin Independent School District which bears all of the administrative costs for our programs.

With a donation as little as $250 you can make a difference in a student's life. For example, your money will directly help children by:

  • $25 buys a backpack with supplies
  • $35 buys field trips for a semester
  • $50 buys a bus pass
  • $250 sponsors one week of tutoring for students
  • $5,000 sponsors a semester of tutoring for students

When making a difference is so easy, consider helping us.
